The potential physical suicide deterrent system alternatives that are developed must comply with the provisions of Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act of 1966. The parklands evaluation in the environmental document will evaluate potential alternatives pursuant to this parkland protection law.

 

The impacts to be evaluated will focus on the potential for impairment of the features or attributes that qualified the Bridge for listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and the permanent or certain temporary occupancy of land for construction staging purposes.
